Cells were transfected with the indicated small interfering RNA (siRNA) by Lipofectamine™ 2000 Transfection Reagent (11668030, ThermoFisher, Massachusetts, USA) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Non-target siRNA and Hmgcs2 siRNA were purchased from Tsingke Bio (Beijing, China), and the target sequences are as follows: Hmgcs2 siRNA 1–5’-CAGAAGAATGGTACAAATCCAA G-3’; Hmgcs2 siRNA 2–5’-CCCTTAAAGGAACCAATGAGTCC-3’; Hmgcs2 siRNA 3–5’-AGGATGAGATTCAGAATATGAAG-3’.
